Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez hit top form in time for El Clasico

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez and Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo were heavily criticised through the opening phase of the summer season but the 2 forwards have hit their strides in front of Saturday's Clasico showdown between the 2 heavyweight clubs.

Ronaldo rifled in the only real goal against Brazilian side Gremio to simply help Madrid lift the Club World Cup on Saturday, while Luis Suarez struck two times as Barcelona thumped Deportivo La Coruna 4-0 on Sunday, stretching their lead at the the top of table.
