After bagging back again to back five-wicket hauls, fast bowler Abhimanyu Mithun's confidence is on cloud nine and it has made the Karnataka speedster confident of creating a back in the national side.
In his last two Ranji matches against Maharashtra and Delhi, Mithun scalped a five-wicket haul and claiming that several such performances can earn him an area in the national team, Mithun said, “I have already been bowling well and two more such innings with the ball will bring me back in contention,” Mithun said after back-to-back five-wicket hauls.Mithun also revealed he has made few changes in his bowling action and done his fitness. “I've done making few changes within my bowling action, plus on my fitness. I've started doing yoga. All these specific things are helping a whole lot,” PTI quoted him saying. “I've made small changes like how I come across the wicket and my wrist position. (Sreenath) Aravind also helped me in this regard,” he added.Teammate and Karnataka skipper R Vinay Kumar also echoed similar thoughts when he explained, “He's bagged five wickets each in last two games against Maharashtra and Delhi. It is a superb achievement. If he keeps bowling such as this, they can produce a comeback to the Indian side any moment.”
