Bhaichung Bhutia offers help to Jammu and Kashmir footballer who said goodbye to militancy

It is a huge monumental week for a new goalkeeper in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. 7 days ago, the youngster announced on Facebook he was joining the militant ranks. And it wasn't a clear claim either.


He was pictured and spotted holding an AK47 at the funeral of a militant killed in a encounter in Khund. The next day, his family and friends – especially his mother – appealed to him to go back home. And after much contemplation, that's precisely what Majid Arshid Khan did.Now he includes a chance at a brand new lease of life and to show things around. Majid who represented his local football club, before embroiling himself in the controversy, includes a shot at taking his passion for the activity from local side to maybe donning India colours in the future. Former India striker Bhaichung Bhutia has extended a supply to the youngster to coach in New Delhi at his Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools academy.
