Atletico Madrid return to Vicente Calderon ahead of Champions League match

Atletico Madrid moved back once again to the Vicente Calderon for a few inspiration. On the eve of a decisive Champions League match against Qarabag on Tuesday, coach Diego Simeone took his players to rehearse at the team's old stadium, where it thrived for such a long time in the European competition.

“We're able to choose where to rehearse and we felt that the best place was the Vicente Calderon,” Simeone said on Monday. Atletico's last match at the Calderon was a lot more than five months ago. The venue could eventually be demolished, nonetheless it remains designed for the club.
